PROVIDENCE, RI – On Saturday, April 10, Urban Health Watch joined a number of presenters and partners who supported Live Empowered! Diabetes Awareness Day, an event organized by The Cathedral of Life’s Health Ministry and the American Diabetes Association.
The summit was held at the Urban League of RI, and it included presentations by representatives from the American Diabetes Association, RI Department of Health, Neighborhood Health Plan of RI, and Johnson and Wales culinary programs. It also included the screening of the movie, Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes for 30 Days, a film sponsored by Urban Health Watch as part of our site’s recognition of “Health Equity Awareness Month.”
