PROVIDENCE, RI – Are you a health professional who is looking to give back? Are you a seasoned health educator who wants to find a new place to present? Consider joining the Cathedral of Life /Divine Health Ministry and the American Diabetes Association.
On April 10, 2010, the two organizations will present Live Empowered, “an African American initiative to create increased awareness and educational tools regarding the impact & seriousness of Diabetes for people of African descent.” And they are still recruiting health professionals to lead themed workshops.
Workshop presenters are needed for topics touching:
• The basics of diabetes
• The importance of physical activity (interactive, low impact aerobics)
• Youth & Diabetes
• Risks for nephropathy & neuropathy
