– Do you know a girl who is 9 to 14 years old?

– Is she outgoing, passionate, and active in school or her community?

– Does she stay on top of what’s going on in her world and love to talk to others about it?

If you answered yes to any of these questions OR if you are that girl, listen up! Girlshealth.gov is giving girls ages 9 to 14 a chance to be a member of their national Sounding Board — a group of girls who share their opinions about everything from what’s going on in their lives to what’s new on our web site.

Selected participants will be part of girls-only blogs, chats, and e-mails where their opinions matter and where their voices will be heard. They’ll also win great prizes like backpacks, t-shirts, and baseball hats for participating in the activities. The more you participate, the more you could win!

The mission of girlshealth.gov, developed by the Office on Women’s Health in the Department of Health and Human Services, is to promote healthy, positive behaviors in girls between the ages of 10 and 16. The site gives girls reliable, useful information on the health issues they will face as they become young women, and tips on handling relationships with family and friends, at school and at home.
