The event includes a Keynote Presentation on “The Role of the Environment in Obesity Prevention” by Mark Fenton, an Adjunct Professor at Tufts University, and “a leading authority on the need for community, environmental, and public policy initiatives to encourage more walking and bicycling.” Additional addresses are to be delivered by Mayor Joseph Curtatone of Somerville, MA; Dr. Brian Elbel of New York University; Dr. Sara Benjamin of Duke University in North Carolina; and Rhode Island Department of Health Director Dr. David Gifford.
